Meet my Students (and future students!)

Recently, I have been seeing lots of ideas on Pinterest about interviewing your kids every year.  Some do this every year on their birthday, but I thought I would just do them all at the same time before we start school every year.  It will be fun to look back and see how their answers change from year to year!  I interviewed them individually so any duplicates are just by chance.

So, without further ado, meet my students:

mma – The Cute Toddler

emma 8.16 002

This picture (above) is what happens every time I get my camera out.

emma 8.16 003

This smile was captured in .5 seconds before she could cover her face once again!

Since Emma couldn’t actually answer the questions, I’ll give a little update about all the things she does talk about …
~Daddy – all.day.long I get questions asking where daddy is and when he’ll be home.  She adores her daddy and loves it when he gets home from work!
~Food – this girlie might be petite, but she can eat and asks for food all.day.long.   Now that she knows how to open the pantry door, I often find her sitting on the kitchen floor devouring an entire bag of raisins.
~Outside – she will go outside with anyone who is willing to go with her.  Some favorites outside are chalk on the driveway, jumping on the trampoline, swinging and sliding on the play set, playing on the deck, and trying to keep up with whatever the big kids are doing.
This girlie brings so much joy, cuddles, good laughs, and love into our family and I can’t believe she is going to be 2 in less than a week!!

  1. I think she just likes the name Claire because first she told me that she is talking about a teenager (Claire Horrocks) at church, but then said, “well, actually, Claire Lindsay the baby.” Crazy kid … neither one of them are near her age. 🙂

  2. Callie must have a love hate relationship with cats! Or she has know idea what it means to have a favorite animal! Crazy girl!

  3. I love this idea – I was just thinking of doing a similar thing each year to remind me of some of their favorite things at the time, since who knows when I’ll get caught up on the boys’ scrapbooks?! I may have to steal this idea for my blog, if you don’t mind, of course! 🙂

  4. @Kendra – yes, she definitely has a love/hate relationship with cats, ha! And yes, she is crazy!
@Jen – of course you can steal the idea for your blog. 🙂 I’m all for sharing ideas!
